We are excited to be offering an in-person State Meeting (zoom option available) and State/ Future Stars Clinic this year. Every gym in Virginia is required to have representation at the Annual State Meeting. The Clinic is an optional opportunity to gain information and coaching development available to any men’s USAG members in the state of Virginia. Athletes and coaches must be current members (2021-2022) of USAG and in good standing.

Clinic Session #1 5:00-8:00 pm (Future Stars and Elite Athletes planning to do Future Stars Regional Testing, Oct. 16-17 and those who plan to compete Technical Sequences this season)
Future Stars and Technical Sequence preparation. We will not be hosting a Future Stars State testing this season – in its place Tim Michaels will be offering his input, and judging routines and parts of routines.

State Meeting 9:00-10:00 (Mandatory representation from all Virginia Men’s Programs – you do not have to register for the clinic to attend the meeting)
The meeting will consist of the introduction of the State Board members, a brief overview of the state’s finances and the 2021-2022 competitive season. We will provide a zoom option for those who can not attend in-person. Please contact the state (vamensgymnastics@gmail.com) for the zoom link.
Clinic Session #2 10:00-12:00 (Coaches only)
Kevin Preston will be presenting an overview on the new men’s program and its implications on the rules affecting the men’s Compulsory and Optional program.
****Lunch will be provided for the coaches****
Clinic Session #3 1:00-4:00 (Club and Compulsory Athletes, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Levels 3-6)
The Compulsory session will address a few small changes to the routines. As always if anyone has a need for specific skills or drills please contact the State and we will include those needs during this session.

Cost for Clinic: $125 per gym
The Clinic fee covers the coach and up to 6 athletes.
Additional coaches are free
$25 additional athletes fee (max 12 athletes per gym)
Registration Deadline: September 6, 2021 (Register through USAG Registration-Sanction is Live August 10th, 2021)
****Reminder: State Assessment fees are due October 4th for 2021-2022 ($16 per USAG registered athlete). Late fees will be assessed at for the assessment if postmarked after October 4, 2021.
Mask policy and additional details:
This is a USAG Sanctioned event. Per USAG’s policy for sanctioned events, masks must be worn by everyone in attendance regardless of vaccination status. Athletes may remove masks while taking their turn on the apparatus.
Athletes must bring their own chalk, snacks and water bottle.
